The professional module for Caregivers, Teachers and Practitioners of Children who have Developmental Disabilities provides specific information for those individuals who come into contact with developmentally disabled children on both professional and personal levels.
The maltreatment of children is one of the most important problems confronting society today, not only because of the harm it does to children, but also because of the long-term effects on those children in their adult relationships. Anyone who has worked with abused children knows the struggles and frustrations of trying to help kids emerge from their experiences of trauma to become healthy survivors.
The purpose of this module is to address specific issues and concerns regarding children with developmental disabilities with regard to mandated reporting requirements.
